IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is an international organization which specifies many standarts for industrial environments. As for 61131-3,it's the standart that explains how to program industrial controllers. It allows us to program PLC and DCS units in a standart way of writing code thus freeing the consumers choosing any IEC supported hardware.
As ASP Automation, we develop our industrial applications using languages of IEC 61131-3 standart, that is, Ladder Diagram (LD), Instruction List (IL), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST) ve Sequential Function Chart (SFC). For this purpose wechoose and recommend IEC 61131-3 Compliant hardware and software. In this way whatever your hardware is, as long as it's IEC complaint, our programming structure is not effected.
Let's give an example. If your hardware supports IEC 61131-3 PLC/DCS programming standart we can easily transfer our program as functional and efficient as in your hardware to any other IEC complaint hardware. That means you have a solution that is independent from hardware. Rapid progress in electronics and software technology makes transferring programs between different hardwares much more important by considering to ensure spare part and software of old automation systems is getting a really difficult job.
As ASP Automation, we prepare our type circuits to run on any hardware environment, that is they are independent from the hardware. Furthermore you can make use of these type circuits in your future enlargements that you may need as simply as using ordinary Library item, thus enabling you to minimize the time spent in programming phase in order to meet your needs.
